My name is Rebecca W Huneycutt. I have been a certified nurse midwife for over 13 years now and absolutely love caring for women, not just through pregnancy, but guiding young ladies and women through the twists and turns of life, both good and bad, so that they can experience the best life God wants for them.
For about 5 years of my career I had the honor of completing medical exams and going to court when needed for girls 10 years of age and older at The Butterfly House. Sadly, the stories just became too hard for me emotionally and I had to stop. It was a terribly hard decision for me and I have always felt a sense of guilt and sorrow for my inability to continue to complete medical exams for the young girls of The Butterfly House. When asked to volunteer for DWTS for the 2020-2021 season I gladly said yes. This provides me another chance to raise money for this wonderful organization that has such a life changing, positive impact for the children and their families in Stanly and surrounding counties.

Chad Taylor is a Stanly County native, born and raised living between Albemarle and Richfield for over 45 years. Chad attended New London, North Stanly, South Stanly and Stanly Community College. At the age of 12, Chad started working weekends and summers at Sure Brite Car Wash, which would be considered his first “real job” since selling pecans and Kool Aid at the New London Post Office didn’t really count. These early years spent working taught Chad the importance of work ethic and discipline if you want to be successful. Fast forward several years, with many jobs behind him, Chad found himself two new passions, fitness and firefighting. Around the age of 22, Chad discovered the world of weights and bodybuilding. They quickly became a daily ritual that would stand the test of time. Today he still trains regularly, with fitness being a major focal point of his life. Chad also had a dream of becoming a firefighter, and after years of searching for his spot with a department, he landed at the City of Albemarle Fire Department. He spent nearly 18 years with AFD and exited his career as Fire Captain. During his time with the fire department, Chad also established his very own gym, Lifters Gym, in Albemarle. Years later, he would open two more locations in Locust and Concord. Chad, an entrepreneur from a very early age, continues looking for new opportunities and business investments. Since resigning from the fire service in November 2020, Chad focuses primarily on his gym, helping others achieve their fitness goals, and enjoys “piddling” in the stock market. He also enjoys riding motorcycles, custom cars, spending time with family and friends, traveling and loves animals. When it comes to music, he likes many genres and does not truly have a favorite, but if there was only one type of music left in this world, he would probably hope it was country. In a nutshell, Chad is pretty basic and not too exciting, but if you meet him, please tell him otherwise. He loves compliments, but he would never admit it!
